Arcadian Rhythms: a year-long meditation on connecting to place

Arcadian Rhythms is an artistic/natural history exploration in which Claire Dacey will visit the same spot in the forest at the Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary for a full day each week for a year (and for brief daily visits). During this time, she will listen, observe, ask questions, research, write, imagine, photograph, and draw in a process of developing deep intimacy with that place and its inhabitants. This will culminate in a public exhibition and live presentation that weaves visual art, science, history, and story-telling. The exhibition will share Dacey's experience with the community, place this experience in a larger context of meaning, and bring this patch of our local landscape into vivid focus.

This program will be a part of Arcadia's 75th-anniversary celebration.
